SPUR Ultrafix A

SPUR Ultrafix A is an odorless alkaline fixer for processing black and white films and papers and can be used for all common black and white fixing purposes.

SPUR Ultrafix A has a high capacity and fixing speed. Films and papers are securely fixed in very short times.

Dilution: for films and papers: 1 + 5 to 1 + 10

Fixing times for films at 20° C (68° F): Rule of thumb: With a dilution of 1 + 5, the fixing time is only 3 minutes, even with high-speed films and tabular grain emulsions. For normal-sensitive films, the fixing takes a maximum of 2 minutes.

Fixing time for papers at 20° C (68° F): Rule of thumb: With a dilution of 1 + 5, RC papers are fixed for 30 to 60 seconds, baryta papers for 2 to 3 minutes. With a dilution of 1 + 10, the fixing times must be doubled.

When using Ultrafix A, a stop bath is absolutely necessary due to the alkaline pH of the working solution.
